Kern River Roadie
It’s not very often that we wake up on Sunday with nothing planned for the day. Yesterday just happened to be one of those days! With spring in the air, and a nip over Santa Monica, we decided to jump in the car and go for a good ol’ fashioned Sunday drive up to Kernville to check out the river and see some scenery. It took us about 3.5 hours one way to get there, and we spent a couple hours cruising up past Johnsondale bridge and R-Ranch in the Sierra’s before turning back do to closed roads that were snowed in. Here’s some pics of the fun!

Random drives up into the Kern River Valley? Sounds like a nice way of spending the day. Did you find snow up past Johnsondale Bridge? Thanks for visiting the Kern River Valley – come back soon! The poppies are going to be going off in two weeks probably.
