Butch and Kathy get a new dog

It’s a sad day indeed when you lose a family pet, it was even harder after 18 years of memories when we finally had to put down Dijon about a month ago. All said, 18 years is an awesome life for a dog, and I’m glad that she lived it to the full. I could go on for hours with funny stories about that dog … but I’ll just let you laugh along to your own memories this time around.

With Dijon out of the house, Teddy seemed to be itching for some companionship (or maybe that was mom?!). So after a little bit of research and some blind luck mom and dad stumbled onto a full bred/papered Papillon over in Anaconda. The original owner had just seen the 2 yr. old through a litter of puppies, and decided it was time to send her along to another loving family.

If you’re not familiar with the Papillon (I wasn’t), the word literally means “Butterfly” in French. You can check out more over at the American Kennel Associations page:

Her name is Zita (which I’m told means “little one” in Italian). Here is a quick pic, I’m sure I’ll a funny story to add here later, but that’s about it on this one!
