Halloween came and went and we hope that everyone had as much fun as we did! With the big day falling on a Monday this year, and Cooper being too little to really appreciate the magic of a giant bag of candy, we opted to head down to a more family friendly event and check out the World Famous Manhattan Beach Pumpkin Races!

There’s no better way to celebrate you birthday than surrounded by your friends. In years past we have taken the show on the road and had parties at happening L.A. spots, but this year we opted for a good ol’ fashioned party at the house.

It’s been awhile since we’ve had a vacation, having a baby in the house will do that to you, so we were pretty excited to get a weekend to hang out with the crew up in Virginia and celebrate Adam & Melinda’s wedding!
We packed up all the extra bags that go with traveling with a baby and managed to get through the airport relatively easy. Coop did great on both flights on the way there, just a little discomfort during takeoff and then he fell asleep. We stopped off in Houston, since there isn’t a direct flight from LAX to Raleigh Durham anymore, and were a little surprised at the size of the plane from Houston to Raleigh. I’ve been on some small planes in my day, but this one took the cake. Three seats wide, two on one side of the aisle and one on the other, and a low enough head clearance that I had to duck to make it to our seats!
It’s been awhile since we’ve posted, so I wanted to drop some picture updates (that’s what you guys all wanted anyway right?!). SJ started back to work, Cooper has started up at day care, Labor Day came and went (good times BBQ with our friends Dale, Toni, Caz, and Kuno Inghram along with Bill and Alison), and we made a fun stop off at the Getty Museum for an afternoon picnic!
This weekend we are heading back east to see Nana, Bop, Chan, Bryon, Michelle, Sydney, and Fischer and we are also going to head up to Virginia to celebrate the wedding of our good friends Melinda and Adam! Well….summer is in full effect now. Unfortunately it will probably be over way to soon! Cooper and I went to our first day at the pool yesterday! He absolutely LOVED the water. He splashed and kicked and layed back in his float like he was an old pro. Looks like we’re gonna have a little water baby on our hands, which is a good thing considering how much his parents love to be near the ocean and any other body of water! Auntie Tessa invited us over to her pool and took pics of us while going in for the first time! And Auntie Julie was with us in the water the whole time soaking up the fun! Dad missed the first pool party, but will be there next weekend for the second round.
